The idea of this sculpture was born thanks to the Gulf of Finland with its granite stones polished by thousands of years of work of the wind and waves. In this series I strive to convey the fragility of the natural balance. And to express the hope that man, in the pursuit of progress and comfort, will not destroy the subtle harmony of life, the elements and the stone.
This is also a deep reflection on the role of man in the broad ecosystem. In the relentless pursuit of progress and comfort, there is a risk of disrupting the intricate web of connections that bind living beings, the elements of nature, and the enduring resilience of stone. This sculpture poses a question for the viewer: can we, as part of nature, be its guardians rather than its destroyers?
It reminds us that the balance of nature is not a static state, but a dynamic and fragile process where each element plays an indispensable role. Stones, winds, waves, and living organisms have coexisted for thousands of years, creating a harmony that humans sometimes overlook.
